Your Life Is the Result of Your Choices

For most people in life, everybody makes their own choices.
These choices literally impact who you are, what things you choose to do, & your life as a whole.

     The choices you make directly correlate with who you are. Nobody can make you do anything; The only person that can make you do something, is you. Each choice you make sets the tone for the path you'll take. This journey starts as soon as you're old enough to think. You don't just wake up one morning and become a doctor. It's all about what you chose to do to get there. It's about the school you chose to become a doctor, the classes you took, and deciding how many hours you devote to studying or looking for internship opportunities.
     Granted, not all choices in life will be easy, and we all know that. Some choices could mean a drastic change in your life, or taking a major risk where you could lose it all or make your dreams come true. Personally, I made choices in middle school to separate from my friends whom I thought were bad influences, and we're going down the wrong path. Just that decision right there could have altered my life, for all I know; I could be in jail, caught up in the wrong crowd, or even killed. Even today, I sunder from people on my Facebook. If I see a status that I get a contact buzz from, their grammar looks like they should be running a 9 year-old's lemonade stand, or  your life motto is "ignorance is bliss", you will immediately be shipped to the island of elimination in the chains of the expunged.
     It takes maturity to realize that you need to make a decision. Choosing the right friends in life, is so vastly important, I couldn't even begin to express it. Your friends are there to pick you back up when you fall, to tell you the truth from a sugar-coated delusion, & the one's that will get you to study in the library all week vs. partying every night. These are the kinds of people everybody needs in their life. Everyone needs someone that #always has a smile upon their face, and is effortlessly mesmerized toward the bright side of life. There is nothing more uplifting than someone who doesn't know the definition of desperation, even if it hit them in the face. To #always get back up when misery knocks them down. I talk about my friends consistently & constantly because I pick my friends out of the best of them. I've chosen to keep people in my life that keep me smiling, doing great things, and that preserve my optimism.
     The person you are not only stems from the people you choose to occupy your life, but also the hobbies you choose to immerse yourself in. Are you going to listen to heavy, screaming metal or Owl City? Are you a Belieber or more into John Mayer? Jason Aldean or Jason Mraz? Maroon 5 or Taylor Swift? I believe the music you listen to subliminally effects your mood and your mindset. Everybody knows that the media tells you that certain songs have drugs, women, & sex, while others have love stories, happy endings, and cheaters - but that's not exactly what I'm talking about; the media can be a lot of hoop-la. The kind of person that artist is impacts the person you are too. Take Jason Derulo, Taylor Swift, or Mackelmore, they seem like the most down-to-earth, heart-on-your-sleeve people you can find, and I think that effects somebody the more they see them on T.V. or what they're saying in their songs.
     There is a common saying that goes "The grass is #always greener on the other side". To me, that sounds more like an escape - like you're running away. I believe in the grass being greener where you water it, and I think it reflects that your choices decide what happens to 'your grass'. Optimism is the brightness of our world. Will you take the seat on a bus that faces the darkness of the mountain, or the illumination of the beautiful blue sky before you? A lot of people say that "it's just being real", you're "just facing the facts"; I say that there's a thin line between reality and pessimism; don't use this line as a scapegoat. Your life embodies the things you do, the people you keep, and the influences you emanate.

Your future is what you make it. Optimism is the brightness of the world;
Share your brightness with those around you.

Live free. Be kind.
Stay loyal. Smile often.
#Always
